On the Job
I dig solving problems. At the outset of design when anything is possible and big decisions are being made. I enjoy participating in meaningful conversations about vision, purpose, and investment. And later in design, the creativity involved in detailing. Taking the abstract and making it concrete.

Out and About
I love spending time with my wife Laura, Maggie the dog, and Gus the cat. We like to spend our weekends at farmers market, hanging out with friends, or getting up to the mountains. We are also active in our church with Laura volunteering as a youth leader and both of us involved in Bible studies.

On the Job
I love what our firm offers. We serve so many different businesses, causes, and endeavors that I'm challenged each day in providing engineering that caters to each of our client's needs. I like that our focus is not just on the engineering in and of itself. Instead, we realize that the client doesn't just need good engineering, but the bigger picture is a complete project that is done on time and on budget. I try to make the engineering be a part of meeting this goal.

Out and About
Thankfully, I live in Montana! It's not difficult for me to fill my time away from the office. My wife Megan and I, along with our yellow lab Samie love taking on adventure. Whether its skiing, backpacking, rafting, or watching the Bobcats on a beautiful fall day in Bozeman, I love taking in everything Montana has to offer.

Education
Associates Degree in Drafting (Auto-Cad & Manual Drafting) MSU-Billings College of Technology; 1993

On the Job
I enjoy the process of turning ideas into design. Turning the sketches and thoughts of our engineers into something well-defined and buildable is a challenge that's rewarded by seeing those buildings constructed around town.

Another part of my job involves managing the office. Keeping track of clients and projects is pretty consuming, but I like the social outlet it gives me. I enjoy catching up with clients on the phone or in person. We are blessed to work with a lot of great architects and contractors.

Out and About
I spend my spare time with my husband Michael, and two boys Jordan and Nicholas. I'm a devoted Tampa Bay Rays fan and can't wait for the year they finally beat the Yankees. I also enjoy road-tripping anywhere south to visit family or soak up some sun.

Education
Associate of Applied Science Drafting and Design Technology
MSU-B College of Technology, 2014

On the Job
My favorite part of the job is working with different types of projects, and improving my knowledge of Drafting, & Structural Engineering. It's amazing to see a project that I had been a part of go from paper, to a job site. I feel a great sense of pride, and accomplishment in my work which makes me want to get out of bed each day.

Out and About
I love spending time with my beautiful daughter Joplin, as well as my amazing wife Carson. Some of my hobbies include fishing, hiking, and floating the river. (anything outdoors) Also I enjoy attending concerts, watching sports, and relaxing in the sun.

On the Job
A competent engineer is able to recognize problems, but the best engineers don't stop at the discovery of a problem; they find the most efficient solutions. That's what excites me; that I am part of a solution rather than part of a problem. I pride myself in saying "Yes, we can do it" where other engineers say it can't be done.

Out and About
Adventure is out there! Jess (my wife), Quincy (the dog), and I search for it constantly. If we have a free weekend, our goal is to be lost in the mountains. At home, we run a community garden where we grow a crap ton of produce. I shamelessly brag that I make the best salsa. We are heavily involved in our South Side community, where we mentor kids at school and participate in activities and games after school.
